Rakhi - Highly Inflammable.

Review:
It makes sense to call it a comeback movie for NTR. You will agree with me if you see all the movies by him in past three years. He did his best. I must repeat the word best again, because now-a-days words are being used with out attached meaning. Here is one case I am attaching the meaning to the word best. I never believed that he can do as well as that and still don’t believe he can do better than that.

Acting Vs Overacting:
What I liked more is the lack of the over confident air in his disposition. When an actor becomes more confident of his skills, he starts inducing over acting. Over acting has given start image to NTR but acting fetched Dada sahib to ANR. Over acting brought MGR to stardom but Sivaji Ganeshan was appreciated for his acting. Over acting creates stars but all we need is good actors. The actor is said to be a failure if audience fail to see the character and instead see the star. Chiru assumed overacting when he realized he has no contemporary, he did acting in his earlier movies. I am surprised to see new actors like NTR Jr, Allu Arjun, and Pavan Kalyan, who have not really proved anything significant doing over acting. If the character demands overacting it adds grace to the action. (Example SVR, NTR when they played Ravana) But overacting when there is no need is not called very good acting.

KrishnaVamsi:
It is a sort of comeback movie for him as well. The plot has been one of the tangential thoughts I had in my mind. As I believed a mere mortal can’t put an end to this stuff, I could not find an easy solution to the problem. When we look back at his movies there are certain potential problems he dealt with. (Khadgam, Sindhuram, Gulabi to name a few) He has provided one side of the solution. There is another side to this, ie., changing the attitude of people. Violence gives temporary solution but changing attitudes of people gives a more permanent solution. A combination of carrot and stick can give amazing results is a successful management case study. How ever I did not expect him to show everything in 3 hours. (out of which at least half an hour is filled with meaningless songs and some comedy sequences that earn money)

Coming back to movie the way NTR underplayed himself at home is good. His romance with Iliyana made many of us pity her. Railway station scene where NTR gives class to minister could have been drafted better. Iliyana lecture scenes did not go well as they did not have right intensity from beginning. He did not make use of Brahmaji well. Charmi did her part well. Director tried to focus on many of the problems faced by women in one go. (Namely domestic violence, teasing, sex workers, rape, love crime, etc.,) which made heavy dose of ideas. Hero did not waste time by showing too many fights while killing people. (He thought it as unnecessary as we all know that Hero will succeed.) Unpractical and unrealistic thing is that fan following hero has got by making 42 murders. (Believe me it is not easy to get so many people’s backing. This Is the same mistake done by director in stalin and repeated in Rakhi. You can understand that if you get exact number of people who attended genuinely to Loksatta first conference.)

Heroins:
Iliyana used blend of skin and acting. Charmi tried to be cute. (I don’t admire such girls)

Over all it is a movie to be watched and never again. It is better to keep distance with highly inflammable materials.
